This wireless remote control kit enables remote triggering (start and stop function) of LANC-compatible cameras/devices with a 2.5 mm LANC connector (e.g., some cameras from Sony, Panasonic, Blackmagic, Canon, or other LANC devices). The kit consists of a transmitter and a receiver; the latter can also be used alone as a wired remote release. The wireless range is up to 30 m in open areas. Both components feature 1/4" threads on the back.

What is LANC? Local Application Control Bus System. Two-wire, serial, bidirectional interface with a 2.5 mm jack.

Pairing process:

Turn off the camera. Connect the camera cable to the camera (or device with LANC). Connect the receiver to the other end of the camera cable and press the red button on the receiver while simultaneously turning on the camera until the indicator on the receiver flashes. Then release the button on the receiver.

Then, press and hold the button on the transmitter. The indicators on the transmitter and receiver will flash and then go out. This indicates that pairing is complete. Only then should you release the button on the transmitter.
