Operating mode "S":

Remote control (start / stop) of cameras with 2.5 mm LANC connector (e.g. some cameras from Sony, Panasonic, Blackmagic or Canon).

Operating mode "P":

Remote control (start/stop) for Panasonic cameras with a 2.5mm non-LANC connector (e.g., GH series). The control unit can be attached using a 1/4" screw. A LANC cable is included.

With the optional LANC-Multi-25 cable (LP-LANC-SONY-MULTI) the controller can also be used for Sony cameras with multi-interface (micro USB connector, e.g. SONY cameras).

What is LANC? Local Application Control Bus System. Two-wire, serial, bidirectional interface with a 2.5 mm jack.
