Battery adapters are used as temporary replacements for the original battery in cameras to extend the camera's runtime. These adapters perform the full function of the original battery, but do not contain a built-in battery. They are powered by external, high-capacity batteries via the D-Tap cable, extending the camera's runtime as desired.

The adapter completely simulates the electronic coding of the original, so that the camera continues to function normally.
