If the flash unit doesn't have a PC sync port, you'll need a flash adapter to trigger the flash. The adapter also has a built-in flash sensor to trigger a flash unit synchronously with the flash of a master flash unit.

Fits all flash units with a universal ISO hot shoe: such as Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Olympus, Pentax (Minolta, Sony, and Konica have proprietary hot shoe contacts and are therefore not directly supported. You will need a hot shoe adapter from the respective device brand to the ISO standard flash contact).
